Kichijitsu | A Japanese Lucky-Day Watch Face for Garmin
Is today Taian? Ichiryu Manbai-bi? When is the next Tenshanichi? Kichijitsu is a Garmin watch face that answers at a glance, using the traditional Japanese calendar of lucky days. Switch between three designs in the settings: a shrine-seal Goshuin page, a phase-accurate moon over a night sea, and an Edo-period zodiac clock.
Short version: the Japanese lucky days — rokuyo, Ichiryu Manbai-bi, Tenshanichi and more — are always on your dial, and the whole calendar is calculated on the watch, so it works with no signal at all.
Kichijitsu
Rokuyo, Ichiryu Manbai-bi, Tenshanichi and the lunar date on your dial. Three Japanese designs in one download; free for 24 hours, then a one-time unlock.
Who is it for?
- Anyone who picks dates carefully — a new wallet, opening a business, signing a contract, a wedding, a lottery ticket
- People tired of checking a calendar site every time they want to know a lucky day
- Fans of goshuin shrine seals and Japanese design who want the same feel on their wrist
- Garmin owners looking for a dial nobody else has
Three designs
| Design | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Goshuin | A shrine-seal page on washi paper. Today's rokuyo is stamped as a vermilion seal and the lunar month name is brushed vertically, over a Mt. Fuji watermark. Also shows a countdown to the next lucky day |
| Moon over the Night Sea | The phase-accurate moon lights a night sea, with a moonlight path that grows brighter toward full moon. Today's rokuyo sits at the top of the ring, the following days run clockwise |
| Edo Wadokei | An Edo-period clock of the twelve zodiac hours. The current hour glows and a brass pointer turns once a day |
What it shows
| Item | Details |
