Easy Pedometer (Rakuraku Step Counter) for iPhone — Privacy Policy

Easy Pedometer (shown on this site as Rakuraku Step Counter; "the App") is an iPhone app provided by its developer ("we"). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App. For the Android version, see the policy linked from the App's Google Play page.

1. What the App does

The App reads the steps recorded by your iPhone and shows today's steps, an estimate of calories burned, titles and history. All of this is processed and stored only on your iPhone. We do not run any server, and nothing is sent to us.

2. Information the App uses

2.1 Steps (Motion & Fitness)

With your permission, the App reads the step count recorded by iOS. It is used only to show your steps, history, titles and step savings, and is stored only on your iPhone. You can withdraw this permission at any time in the Settings app.

2.2 Family phone number

A number entered for the family reminder is stored only on your iPhone and used only as the recipient of a message. Messages are sent only when you press Send in the standard iOS Messages screen. The App never sends messages by itself.

2.3 Age group

The age group you choose in "Compare with others" is stored only on your iPhone and used only to show the comparison.

2.4 Notifications

If you turn on the family reminder, the App shows a notification at 3 p.m. every day. You can change this at any time in the Settings app.

2.5 Advertising

The App shows ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob may collect approximate location derived from your IP address, records of ads shown and interactions, and device and performance information, for ad delivery, measurement and troubleshooting. The App does not request tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). Google's handling of this information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK see Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) on first launch, and ads are served according to their choice. You can change your choice at any time from "Ad privacy settings" at the bottom of the App's main screen.

3. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. As described in 2.5, information may be sent to Google (AdMob) for advertising.

4. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Deleting data

There is no account and no data on our servers. Deleting the App deletes all data stored on your iPhone.

6. Changes

We may update this policy in response to changes in law or in the App. Important changes will be announced on this page.
