Mimamori Map | Share Location and Battery by Mutual Consent
A family member who lives far away, a friend you are meeting up with. “Where are you now?” “Is your battery OK?” Mimamori Map lets you look out for each other, with mutual consent. You share your location and battery level only with people who have approved each other, and only while you have sharing turned on.
In short, you connect with an invite code, nothing is visible until the other person approves, and you can stop sharing with each person at any time.

Key features
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Approval-based connections | Connect with an invite code (valid for 10 minutes, single use) or a QR code. Nothing is visible until the other person approves |
| Sharing on or off per person | Stop sharing at any time with one switch, or from the notification |
| Location, battery and update time | See where someone was last seen, their battery level, and when the information was last updated |
| When updates stop | Separates what is confirmed (for example, they turned sharing off) from what is only a guess (for example, the battery may have run out) |
| Chat | One-to-one. Text and stamps (24 stamps in 3 packs), read receipts, and deleting messages you sent |
| Route recording (optional) | Record your own routes. They stay on your device and are never uploaded or shared |
Our approach to privacy
- Nothing is shared until both of you agree
- While your location is being collected, a notification is always shown. There is no hidden mode
- No ads and no usage analytics. The app does not access your contacts
- You can delete your account and your data from inside the app at any time
How location is used
To share your location while the app is closed or not in use, the app asks for “Allow all the time” location access. It uses your location only to share it with the people you approved, and only while sharing is on. If you do not allow it, sharing works only while the app is open.
How it works
Open the app, create an account, and give the person you want to look out for an invite code or QR code. When they approve, you are connected. Your location and battery level are shared with each person only while you have sharing turned on for that person. A notification is always shown while your location is being collected.
FAQ
Q. Can someone see my location without my knowing?
A. No. You connect with an invite code or QR code, and nothing is visible until the other person approves. A notification is always shown while your location is collected, and there is no hidden mode.
Q. How do I stop sharing?
A. You can stop sharing with each person at any time, with one switch or from the notification.
Q. Is my location shared while the app is closed?
A. If you allow “Allow all the time” location access, it is shared while sharing is on, even when the app is closed. If you do not allow it, sharing works only while the app is open.
Q. Are there ads or usage analytics?
A. No. The app does not access your contacts either.
Q. Can I delete my account and data?
A. Yes, from inside the app at any time.
Q. What age is it for?
A. It is intended for people aged 18 and over.
Q. If updates stop, does that mean something has happened to the other person?
A. Not necessarily. Updates also stop with no signal, an empty battery or power-saving settings. The app separates what is confirmed (such as them turning sharing off) from what is only a guess. In an emergency, contact them directly or call emergency services.
